Assignment 1 - Unconventional Self Portrait
This week during week 1 , Mr. choy gave us our first assignment , which was to do a self portrait of ourselves , we are to do some research on the topic , which is self portraits , and then proceed to do our respective self portrait . we are expected to show Mr.choy our progress of our assignment so far next Monday .
I did some research on different self portrait , and there are so many type of self portrait , I went and did some more researching and thought long and hard for ideas to come to my mind .
Finally I decided that to do a collage self portrait.
At first, I was thinking about to use newspaper as the material.But at the end I choose colour paper instead of newspaper because I think using colour paper my self portrait will be more colourful.
This is my sketch and my progress on doing this self portrait.At first I decide to make a simple front view of myself.But,I would like to try something different.Thus, I planned to cut the A1 paper and folded it into four different section,
I have tried to fold the A1 paper into four sections but the A1 size paper is not enough to fold , so that I changed my idea , so at the end , it come out with three sections

At first , I printed out my face and then I modified the face with colour papers and makers .
I colour my face in yellow colour because I wanted to make the face colour match with the colour papers that I used .
This is my final work !!
What I drew on my hair are my favourite things
There are some desserts , for example cakes sweets and also ice creams .
at last but not least , I love dogs too !
During the presentation day which is on week 3.
